What BWO stores

Updated October 2, 2026. BWO at bwomarket.com is in a testing phase for accounts, mail, listings, and requests. This page says what the site stores and who can see it. Questions and deletion requests go to support@bwomarket.com.

Accounts

Creating an account stores your name, your email, and a hash of your password. The password itself is not kept. The name is what other people can see. The email stays off the public maker list.

BWO records when you open the confirmation link. A password reset link works once and lasts about an hour. Using it signs out other sessions on that account.

A cookie named folio_session keeps you signed in for about 30 days. It is sent only to this site, and page scripts cannot read it. Signing out clears it.

Specifications and pictures

A specification can include a character description, construction choices, colors, notes, body measurements, and reference pictures. While you are signed in, the draft is saved with the account, so another computer can open it after you sign in there. This browser also keeps a local copy.

Body measurements belong to the specification. The public maker list does not show them.

Listings

A studio listing publishes the studio name, city, country, product types, summary, lead time, starting figure, and materials. Your email remains on the account.

Some listings are samples placed in the directory so the list is not empty during this test. Each one is marked Example listing. A sample studio is not a person, and it does not reply.

Requests

Sending a specification stores the brief, your message, the reference pictures, the thread, and any figure or note written back. The customer and the maker on that request can open it from their accounts.

The address of a request page is enough to read that brief, those pictures, the thread, and the figure. Treat that address as private.

A maker key opens that studio’s inbox. A customer key opens that one request. Anyone who has the key can use it. BWO stores those keys so the site can recognize them.

Mail

BWO uses your email to confirm the account, to reset a password, and to say when a request, a reply, or a figure is waiting. Those messages are sent when mail is configured, and only to an address that has been confirmed. The same notice also appears on the account.

How long it stays

During this test, BWO may change the site and may remove test accounts, listings, specifications, and requests. When a reset is planned and mail is working, BWO emails the address on the account.

To remove an account, email support@bwomarket.com from the address on the account. BWO will delete that account, its listing, and the requests tied to it from the server. A copy in your browser stays until you clear site data for bwomarket.com. A brief the other person already downloaded stays with them.

Who can read the server

The people who run the server can read the database. That includes specifications, pictures, messages, password hashes, and keys. They use that access to operate the site and to answer mail sent to support@bwomarket.com.

BWO does not sell this information.
