Terms
Using BWO
Updated October 2, 2026. These terms cover BWO at bwomarket.com during a testing phase. The privacy page describes what the site stores. These are plain-language testing terms. Questions go to support@bwomarket.com.
The service
BWO is a tool for writing a costume specification and sending it to a maker. A maker can list a studio and write a figure back. BWO does not build the costume. This test covers accounts, mail, listings, and requests.
Testing
Pages and these terms can change. Test accounts and the material on them can be removed. Keep your own copy of a brief you still need: download a project zip, or download the commission file after a figure is accepted.
Accounts
An account is required to save a listing or send a request. Use your own email and a password of at least 8 characters. Confirm the email before you save a listing or send a request.
You are responsible for the password, the maker key, and any customer key the site gives you. One person uses one account. A shared key lets the other person open what that key opens.
Listings and specifications
A public listing shows the studio details you save. Write them so a stranger can understand them. A specification should describe the piece you want built. A required gap stays on the brief until you fill it or hand that choice to the maker.
Requests and figures
Sending a request delivers the brief and its pictures to that maker. Either person can write in the thread while the request is open. The customer can replace the brief while it is still open. Replacing it clears a figure written for the previous brief.
A figure is the maker’s written reply: an amount and a note. Accepting it records that the customer agreed to that brief and that figure. Paying the maker, if you both decide to, happens between you, outside this site.
Declining a request records that the maker will not take it.
Sample studios are marked Example listing. They stay in the directory during this test, and they do not reply.
Your words and pictures
You keep the rights to the words and pictures you put on BWO. You confirm you have the right to share them with the maker you send them to, and, for a listing, with the public.
You let BWO store and show that material so the service can run: a listing on the public maker list, a specification on your account, and a request for the people who can open it.
How to use the site
Use BWO for costume specifications and studio listings. Do not use it to break the law, to pretend to be someone else, or to upload something you have no right to share. BWO may close an account used that way. During this test, an account can also be removed because the data is being reset.
The costume
The brief, the figure, and the finished costume are between the customer and the maker. BWO does not check a maker’s skill, and it does not promise that a brief will be built as written. Read the brief and the figure before you accept them.
The site as it runs today
During this test, BWO is offered as it runs today. It can be unavailable. A saved draft follows the account after it has finished saving. A download stays on the computer that saved the file.
Changes
The date at the top is the version of these terms. Using BWO after that date changes means you accept the updated terms. Questions go to support@bwomarket.com.
